The Lion Of The Tribe of Judah

Welcome to my blog, The Diamond Dragonfly

Another challenge with a family friendly theme and sentiment, ‘Anything Goes’, as far as styles at Word Art Wednesday again this week.
This is our 119th   challenge.  We also have a Facebook page found here.  Your faithfulness in posting such inspiration art with us encourages many.  Congratulations to the winners. It is a good thing we have random.org to pick because the cards and projects are all  so beautiful and inspirational.
Our fabulous sponsors for February 5th  2014 are  Jennifer Elliott Etsy (wool felt) & Iralamija Etsy Store (2 digital sheets) These are very generous gifts for you to win. Congratulations to last week blessed winners.

This scripture had me focusing on the Lion of the Tribe of Judah for some reason thinking about young lions going hungry didn’t want to register in my brain, although the point is that those of us who seek the LORD shall not want any GOOD thing.

I printed a picture of a beautiful Lion, stamping it with versmark using a musical score stamp. I embossed with gold. The sentiment was printed off on WW cardstock, stamped with versamark using a large stamp of eastern Europe Asia and Africa. Jerusalem is midway between the two f’s in suffer, and the se in seek. This is ballpark only.  I used a clear embossing powder and then inked with some pistachio ink to highlight the map. I searched through my button bag and found this one, tied the bow and put it all together. A normal person would need and hour (or less) it took me at least three full hours before pictures and write ups.

Again, a big WAW welcome to Gail Scott, for spending the month of February 2014 as our guest designer here at WAW.
WAW…………………………….AG with a family friendly sentiment and theme.

There is a FREE digital word art each week, which you are welcome to use BUT it is not required. It is found on this page as well as here.

Lovely card Carole - Love the way you 'caged' the lion with music - how often so we neglect to 'cage' the lion of despair, depression, fear or whatever with praise music!!
Blessings

Carole, this is an absolutely beautiful card. I'm so glad you stopped by my blog so as to allow me to find yours. The stories in Genesis are some of my favorite scriptures especially the end as The story if Judah unfolds and his learned humility and tender heartedness is blessed with the forever place on the throne. It reminds me of the scripture where we are told that God desires the mercies of our hearts more than any sacrifice we could give. Mercy like He gave us when Christ went to the cross. Judah learned mercy! I am grateful that your card spoke to my heart! Many blessings hoped for you!!!
